Site went down due to high winds knocking out the power… and a lack of a working UPS at the moment.

Verizon cancled my account again so we lost our connection over the holiday weekend. It’s back up now, I’m starting to wish I had other options for service…

This site was down yesterday due to a Verizon issue. This affected web/mail/ntp and weather feed.

The weather station is now fully functional. The anemometer is mounted and seems to be working well. The wind direction is still off as I can not find my compass to calibrate it. I’m going to order a new compass so that I can calibrate the wind direction with more then just dead reckoning.

I need to come up with a wire solution. The wires were not long enough to be routed the way I was planning. I’ll probably burry a PVC conduit and run the wires in that. Have to get that going ASAP as the ground might start getting hard to dig.

Update - The temperature/humidity sensor and rain gauge are in place. I was not able to mount the anemometer where I was planning. I have to go back to the drawing board and come up with something else. Should have it working soon none the less.
